Scene Geolocation¶
Geolocation describes the positions of the camera and gates for one measurement-point configuration. It is stored independently for each configuration (Configuration0, Configuration1, and so on), so switching configurations may display a different position on the map.
Setting the camera position¶
Open the settings of the active configuration and go to the Geolocation tab. Search for an address or place the camera directly on the map. When you save the configuration, the application stores the coordinates and the resolved address description.
Missing geolocation does not prevent you from designing or analyzing a measurement. Geolocation is required, among other things, to display the location in the locations map view.
Setting gate positions¶
After placing the camera, put the gate markers on the map and drag them to their exact positions if necessary. Entry and exit gates have one point each. A bidirectional gate and a pedestrian crossing have two points, marked 1 and 2.
Place the points as close as possible to the real locations where road users cross the road or pedestrian crossing. Accurate points make movements easier to understand on the map.
Movements on the map¶
When the configuration contains sufficiently reliable gate positions, the application can project the complete movement shape from the camera image onto the map. If a valid map calibration cannot be calculated, movement geometry is omitted until the camera and gate positions provide valid calibration.
In both cases, save the configuration after changing the position of the camera or gates.
