Pedestrian Crossing

Pedestrian Crossing is a design object used to count people who cross a defined pedestrian area in the design.

Use it when you need to measure pedestrian traffic separately from vehicle traffic, for example at zebra crossings, sidewalks, crossings near intersections, or other places where vulnerable road users move through a defined zone.

When to use Pedestrian Crossings

Use pedestrian crossings when you want to:

  • Count people crossing a selected area.
  • Separate pedestrian movement from vehicle movement.
  • Measure pedestrian demand near intersections, bus stops, schools, or public facilities.
  • Include pedestrian volumes in traffic reports.
  • Group crossings with roads in Design → Roads when the crossing belongs to a specific road segment.

Creating a Pedestrian Crossing
